Scholarships

The Keesler Spouses’ Club awards two scholarships for High School Seniors in honor of Cathy Varble, wife of Ret. LtCol. Tom Varble. Not only is Cathy a long standing member of the Keesler Spouses’ Club, whose charitable contributions are too numerous to count to include 32 years of volunteer service at the KSC Thrift Shop, but she was one of Keesler's Volunteer of the Year last year.

Additionally, the Keesler Spouses’ Club is offering scholarships to non-military spouses of military personnel The availability of spousal scholarships and their dollar amounts are determined yearly based upon monies donated to and raised by the Keesler Spouses’ Club.

The Keesler Spouses’ Club Scholastic Awards Committee shall determine appropriate qualification of applicant and distribution of money. A separate/independent review committee will be the final determining body for awarded scholarships.

2009-2010 Scholarship Recipients

Miss Rachel Bergeron, Miss Caitlin Buono, Miss Emily Conner,  Miss Maridane Hewes, Miss Rachel Thone, Mr. Blaise Gargiulo, Mr. Levi DeLuke, and Mrs. Holli McDonald.

All 8 students received $1,000 from the KSC on May 11, 2010.

Mr. DeLuke received an additional $1,000 from First Command Educational Foundation.
